Founded in 1990, Uljée c.s. has extensive experience advising on taxation, combining in-depth technical knowledge with practical insight, coordinating with trusted advisers abroad when multiple jurisdictions are involved.

Uljée c.s. advises medium to large multinational enterprises, governments, investors, non-governmental organisations and private clients on tax matters. Our firm's expertise includes international structuring, financial transactions, acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations and private equity investments. As a specialist firm, we work closely with our clients towards understanding the objectives behind each assignment and translating complex international tax issues into clear, workable solutions.

In addition to advisory, Uljée c.s. provides high-end tax compliance services, including the preparation of complex tax returns, transfer pricing documentation and Dutch Pillar-II filing. Our tax advisory services cover a vast range of practice areas in Dutch taxation, such as Dutch corporate income tax, transfer pricing, withholding taxes, Pillar-II, tax treaties, VAT, wage tax and personal income tax.

Uljée c.s. is experienced in advising on the Dutch tax aspects of cross-border restructuring and investment, financial transactions, M&A (tax due diligence, transaction documentation and post-acquisition restructuring), private equity funds, real estate transactions and management incentive plans.

The international tax landscape is rapidly evolving, which leads to uncertainty for taxpayers. Uljée c.s. has extensive experience and a high success rate in obtaining certainty in advance for its clients in the form of Advance Tax Rulings (ATRs), as well as resolving disputes with the Dutch tax authorities.

In addition, Uljée c.s. assists clients with their Dutch tax compliance obligations, including corporate income tax returns, VAT returns, dividend tax returns, Pillar-II filings, wage tax returns and personal income tax returns.

IJsbrand Uljée, Partner at Uljée c.s. - He advises his clients on Dutch tax aspects of (domestic and international) transactions such as mergers, acquisitions and (re)structurings of investments and debt.

IJsbrand has over 14 years of experience as a Tax Lawyer in the international tax practice at the big four and international tax firms. He is a member of The Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and International Fiscal Association (IFA).

He has extensive experience in cross-border restructuring, M&A, dispute resolution with the Dutch tax authorities and inbound investments.

Volodimir Toetsja, Partner at Uljée c.s. - He is a tax expert in the field of cross-border (re-)structuring, financial transactions, MNE compliance and other related tax and transfer pricing.

Volodimir has 12 years of experience working as a Tax Lawyer in the international tax practice at specialized tax boutique firms and multinationals. He is a member of The Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB) and the International Fiscal Association (IFA).

He has extensive experience in cross-border structuring, certainty in advance procedures (APAs/ATRs), tax advisory on financial transactions, tax compliance and dispute resolutions with the Dutch tax authorities.

Werner Uljée, Founder and of counsel at Uljée c.s. - Werner started his career as a candidate civil-law notary after studying Notarial Law at Leiden University.

He subsequently studied Tax Law and joined Ernst & Young Amsterdam as a tax adviser in the 1980s. In the early 1990s, he established his own practice and subsequently spent ten years as a partner at a medium sized office of lawyers, tax advisers and a civil-law notary in Amsterdam.

Since 2009 Werner continues his practice independently.
